I've been waiting a week for some of my items from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale to ship, so I've decided to just go ahead and talk about the items I've gotten so far and then update you all when the remaining three items either ship or cancel.
I didn't get much this year — mostly basics that I can still wear now while pregnant and use post-pregnancy as well. There also wasn't a lot I was really impressed by this year that screamed my name like the last couple of years, but that's okay because I need to save my money for baby Kal anyways.
The first item I picked up was the Trouvé Layering Tee in two colors. I had originally ordered three but the color Tan Memoir was sold out and then that portion of my order was cancelled. Oh well. The great thing about these long sleeves is that they're thin so they're easy to layer under other shirts if need be. Their thinness does make them a tad see-through, though, so you just have to be mindful of what bra you're wearing underneath. You could also layer a cami if you want extra coverage.
I also grabbed the Trouvé Long Sleeve Wrap Blouse in three shades; it's just that pretty that I couldn't resist. You saw the blue one earlier on the blog and I also got it in tan and black and white stripe. These you definitely need something underneath because they're so low cut and flowy at the front. I safety pinned the blue one when I wore it to work because I didn't have any camis, but I picked up these two-way ones from Halogen at work the other day (also on the sale right now) so I could have a basic layering piece to wear underneath these and other tops.
I should've taken a photo before I returned it, but I ordered the Trouvé Racer Stripe Funnel Neck Sweater in tan/red. Unfortunately, it came with a huge snag in the front so it was definitely not worth the money I spent on it. Fortunately, it really didn't look that great so I wasn't that sad about it. It looked a little too boxy on me and the neck sat kind of weird as well.
I'm still waiting on one more sweater and two pairs of leggings so I'll update this post when they (hopefully) finally arrive. Let me know in the comments what you're picking up from the sale!
