When I was still in England, I abused the generosity of my loving boyfriend and used his debit card to pick up some items to try from French Girl Organics, the perfectly Instagramable beauty brand on Etsy. I was inspired to try out the recommended products from a Byrdie post, so check them out for an expert review on these products. Today, I'm finally sharing my thoughts on the products I tested.
Remedy Roll-On – Clear
This tiny 1/6 mL sample was hardly used, to be honest. My current skincare routine has been working really well for me (update coming soon) so I didn't really have a reason to use this. When I did try it a couple of times, I didn't think it did much. I found regular tea tree oil to be more effective, and cheaper if you buy it from your local drugstore.
Dry Shampoo – Jasmin Vert
So I only wash my hair once a week. That makes dry shampoo my literal BFF. This, though, was my least favorite product of the bunch. I know aerosol sprays aren't the greatest and don't contain natural ingredients like this dry shampoo, but I found the FGO dry shampoo to be messy and ineffectual on my very dirty hair. I just felt like my hair had a bunch of sand it in and I didn't see any noticeable decrease in the oiliness of my head.
Liquid Parfum – Tabac No. 1
I will admit it. I did not even try this sample. I am way too picky about my scents, and I knew I wasn't going to like this. It was a waste of Adam's $8 because I already know that I'm dedicated to light floral scents.
Lip Tint – Terre Rouge
If it had been fall when I got this lip tint, it would have been my go-to color. Unfortunately winter had already arrived, so this orange tint got pushed to the side. In the few times that I have worn it, I can say that I do like the product—it's really moisturizing on the lips and has a vibrant tint. When fall comes around again, I'm sure that this lip tint will be in my regular lip rotation. Also, this is not the only color, this is just the color I purchased since it was recommended by Byrdie. If I had it in a more spring-like color, I'm sure I'd be wearing it a lot right now.
Lip Polish – Rose du Maroc
This is the most Insta-worthy item of the bunch and has been seen on many a beauty editors' and obsessees' feeds. I personally didn't find it to be that amazing. I typically don't spend my money on lip exfoliating products because I can get the job done with some warm water and a toothbrush. This is definitely a product for when I'm feeling extra and want to do a full on beauty routine before going out or going to bed or something. I find it's hard to get all the sugar off as well once I'm done exfoliating. Regardless, it will still be a go-to item for those nights I'm feeling extra Queen Hal Pal.
Floral Toner – Néroli du Maroc
I saved the best product for last. I went through this toner spray too quick. I was a little thrown off by the scent at first, but I came around. I typically use toner sprays because they're refreshing and have some skincare benefits as well. I don't rely on them to completely cleanse and tone my face, but they add some moisture back in after using a couple of drying acne-fighting products. Now that I'm out, I use the bottle for my Lush Tea Tree Water because the packaging for the FGO toner has a better sprayer than the Lush packaging.
Let me know down in the comments if you've tried this brand before and send me suggestions of what products I should review next!
