Product Review: ColourPop Cosmetics Fall Edit 1

And here I am again with a product review. Today, I'm reviewing ColourPop's Fall Edit 1 collection. This is one of my favorite makeup brands, and fall is my favorite time for makeup, so this is just perfect. I'm so excited to wear these lip colors all season long.
If you've been reading my blog for awhile, you'll hopefully remember my review of ColourPop's "throwback" collection last fall. That collection was very '90s-inspired, but this year, they've stuck with some basics for fall. Their first fall edit includes their orignal Lippie Stix/Pencil combo, an Ultra Satin Lip, an Ultra Glossy Lip and two shadows. I'm just going to jump right into the swatches.

Two Super Shock Shadows were released with this collection. Stereo was actually a re-release from last year's fall collection and just so happened to be the only shadow I couldn't get my hands on... until now. It's a blackened burgundy with copper and pink violet duochrome glitter on top. I packed this metallic finish shade onto my lid with my finger and blended it out with a crease brush and Tang to soften the look. I also put Tang in the crease since the matte finish soft dusty plum was the perfect shadow to blend out the whole look. This eye look is super easy and on-trend of fall.
Both of these shadows retail for $5 and are worth it. I personally love the cream formula that ColourPop has because I feel the shadows are more intense and stay on your lids longer as opposed to regular powder shadows.

The first lip color they released was Dukes. This matte finish dark blackberry comes in a Lippie Stix and has a matching Lippie Pencil. What I love about the Lippie Stix/Pencil combo is that 1. you have a matching lip liner and 2. the matte formula is not drying whatsoever. For $5 a piece, it's worth it to get both. Within their permanent range of shades, they also have varying formulas of the Lippie Stix so you if you'd rather have a satin or cream finish, they have them. The Lippie Stix/Pencil combo was actually the first thing I ever bought from ColourPop and it's still my favorite formula to this day.

Next up we have the Ultra Satin Lip in Hutch. Let me just start by saying that this deep blackened violet is going to be one of my go-to lip colors (the other is Kylie Cosmetics Love Bite Matte Lip Kit). ColourPop's Ultra Satin Lip formula is another favorite of mine, and I'm a HUGE fan of dark lips for fall, so this is right up my alley. And for only $6, it's the perfect buy for fall. I'm sure I'll be seeing plenty of British girls rocking similar colors while I'm abroad.

Last up is Sookie, an Ultra Glossy Lip. This rich plum shade is actually the first Ultra Glossy Lip I've tried, and my first impression is that it's great! This particular shade is in the creme formula (I believe there are three other Ultra Glossy Lip formulas) so it's thick, but not sticky. I didn't wear any lip liner under this $6 lip gloss, but I think it would look great over Dukes Lippie Pencil. I can't wait to test out the formula more over the next few months.
ColourPop's fall edit 1 collection is small, but I'm in love with every item. They're all definitely going into my makeup bag to bring with me across the pond.
The next time you hear from me, I'll finally be in England. Until then, cheerio!
