As another month passes so do some more monthly favorites. It's crazy that we're already in the first full week of February and that I'm already halfway done with winter term. I know it's been crazy and the blog has been a little inconsistent since I've come back from England, but I'm making it my mission this month to get back on track and share some great content with all of you. But first let's talk about my favorites in the month of January.
Glossier 'The Supers' Serums
These serums are hands down my favorite item of the month. I started using these immediately when I came back from England, but wanted to try them all out before I shared my thoughts with you. There will be a more in-depth post later this week, but for now, just know that I'm obsessed with these and already need to buy new bottles.
Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser
I've discovered a new favorite face wash. I honestly didn't think I'd like this at first, but I'm absolutely in love with this. My face feels incredibly clean but not tight after I'm done using this. I follow it up with on (or two) of the serums and a moisturizer for a quick and easy skincare routine.
The Drybar Guide to Good Hair For All by Alli Webb
One of two books I read in January, I loved going through each of Drybar's signature blowouts step by step and just hearing from the founder on her philosophy and how she's built a successful business. If you want to know how to get the perfect blowout at home, this book is for you.
Capture Your Style by Aimee Song
If you've seen a change in my Instagram feed, this is why. Any person looking to beef up their social media skills and get more double taps and followers NEEDS to get this book. I learned so much from each section and I'm much happier with my Instagram now (and I think I my followers are, too).
Aran Sweater Market Turtleneck + Handmade Mittens
My only fashion favorite this month is more of a shoutout to my mother. For those who don't already know, I bought this wonderful, warm, huge blue turtleneck on my trip to Dublin. I wore it constantly because its a really great item. When I got home, my mom thought it would be a good idea to but a 100 PERCENT IRISH WOOL sweater in the DRYER. Needless to say, it shrunk down to a size that even my 9-year-old cousin couldn't wear. Bye bye favorite sweater. Then one day I go to get dinner with my mom and grandma and she brings me a nice little package that contained a brand new sweater that she had paid a fortune to have shipped all the way from Dublin. To sweeten the deal, she later found a lady who repurposes old wool sweaters into mittens, so now I have a matching sweater and mitten set. I wore them together one time, but I resembled the Cookie Monster, so I will never do that again.
