If you haven't noticed my lack of blog posts this month, then you probably don't know how crazy these last few months have been. I've had a lot happen this term at school, so I'm just here with a quick life update:
First, let's acknowledge the fact that this term has been a HUGE adjustment. I went from having easy classes Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in England and spending three months on vacation to going 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. every single day no matter what. If that's not a shock to the system, I don't know what is. This term I took my junior English class, a physical anthropology class, and digital journalism (obviously my favorite class). I've also stepped into my role as news editor of The Chronicle/NCClinked and spent time working on our new website which will be debuting week one of spring term! Add onto that my participation in both choir and track and a part time job as well. I barely have time to eat and sleep let alone blog!
Also, don't forget that I'm a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista as well as a member of the Social Media Society and a recently promoted Senior Editor for CF as well.
While this trimester has been insane for me, I've also had a TON of good news come my way: first, the promotion to Senior Editor for CollegeFashionista. This is a new position for CF where I am in charge reviewing edits of three junior editors and am able to schedule out posts for our #RAD Style Gurus! I was so excited to step into this brand new role and bring myself one step closer to my dream job. CollegeFashionista also offered me a summer Editorial In-Office Internship at their office in New York. Living in the Big Apple has been my dream since I visited 11 years ago and I can't wait to start this next adventure in June!
Also starting in the next few months: my new position at The Chronicle/NCClinked. I'm so happy to say that I have been chosen to be the Editor in Chief of our student media next academic year. I've been working toward this position since I first joined the student media organization in January of my sophomore year and can't wait to work with an amazing team next year and join my freshman roommate and next year's managing editor, Allison Hartman, in leading our student media to greatness at both state and national competition.
My spring term is looking a lot better than this one, so I can't wait to bring you some great content between now and forever... just let me get through this final today and then I'll be back to blogging regularly (I hope), so send me any requests of posts you wan't to see (or don't see. Let me know if you're bored of anything)!
Be on the lookout for a revamped website within the next couple of months as well. While I may not blog as much as I did when I was in England, I still have been making plans on how to make DYHIIB? better and better.
Happy New Year! Since it's finally 2017, I thought I would share 17 resolutions I have for the year. Most of them are funny but others are serious, so read on to see what I hope to accomplish this year!
1. Stop eating cereal at meals other than breakfast... and maybe occasionally at dinner.

3. Finally get my finances together.
4. Find an internship.
5. Drink more water.
