When I'm in a fashion rut or have no idea what to wear, my first step is to look at pictures of Gigi Hadid's street style. Ever since she stepped on the scene, I've been obsessed. She has a relaxed but put-together look complete with plenty of black and some athleisure touches.
I was in desperate need of some style inspo the other day when I found this photo of Gigi pinned to one of my style boards on Pinterest:
From there, putting together the perfect outfit for a day full of classes was a piece of cake. Here is my recreation of this outfit (minus the sweater and bag.)
I started off with this basic white tee from Gap (I know I mention it in every post, but I used to work there so I have HELLA Gap clothes) and instead of leggings with zippers, I added my own edge with these scuba leggings from Express.
In terms of accessories, I went with some add-ons to take this outfit from basic to bad bitch. Since this outfit was inspired by Gigi, I absolutely had to wear my adidas sneakers that I begged my grandma to buy for me (found them at DSW, thanks gram.) I also wore my favorite (and only) watch from Michael Kors.
I decided to try something new this day as well and test drive this new bandana trend. I loved it, and what's great is that it's such an easy and inexpensive way to accessorize your outfits. I got my bandana from Wal-Mart for only $1. It's funny because places like Gap and Express are trying to sell these for over $10. Crazy, right?
And this isn't exactly Gigi inspired, but I thought I'd talk about my makeup real quick. I'm relatively simple when it comes to everyday makeup looks. Here I'm wearing the Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation in shade 112 and I set that with my Laura Mercier Translucent Powder. For contour I used my Kat Von D Shade + Light palette (my absolute favorite) and topped that off with a blush from the Morphe 9B palette and got my highlight on fleek with Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop. I filled in my brows with Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Pomade in Taupe and added a few coats of Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara to my lashes (new fav mascara.) For lips, I lined and filled them in with Colourpop Bitchette and topped it with the matching Lippie Stix. Bitchette is fitting, no?
HIGHLIGHT (and oily skin) ON FLEEK.
Hopefully you all have a wonderful weekend!

So I decided to finally try out a subscription service to further feed my makeup addiction. There's hundreds of options like Ipsy and Birchbox, but I gave BOXYCHARM a go because one of my favorite YouTube beauty gurus, KathleenLights, uses this subscription service.
One of the big appeals of this box is the price. I chose a three month plan so I could give this a test drive and it cost me only $51. The price of just one box is $21, so by signing up for three months, I saved $5. Not a huge amount, but the bigger plan you buy, the more you save. Purchasing a year plan will give you the equivalent of one box free. Pretty sweet.
Now $21 seems like a lot, but just keep scrolling to see my thoughts on this box. Is it worth the price? What kind of products do you get? All of your questions will be answered.
So this is what the box looks like. Just a basic package with the name of the subscription service on the front. Obviously I love the black and white packaging.
When you open the box, it comes with a card that says the theme for the month. January's theme is "Eyes on 2016" so every product in the box was related to eye makeup.
Now into the actual box:
You get four products in your box each month and these were this month's products. The pink tube in the center is the Blinc Mascara Amplified which "coats lashes with a glossy, volumizing and extendng application that forms tiny water-resistant 'tubes' around the lashes. Applies like a traditional mascara, giving you the ability to add as many coats as you want to build your desired look." What's really cool about this box especially is that all the products are full size. So this full size mascara normally retails for $26.00. I've already gotten some bang for my buck just from the first product.
Next up we have the eyeshadow palette at the top. This is the Coastal Scents Revealed Smoky palette which "features 20 all-new, smoldering eyeshadows in a dramatic variety of hues and textures," and this retails for $39.95. These Revealed palettes by Coastal Scents are really similar to Urban Decay's Naked palettes, but come with almost twice the eyeshadows. They are also typically on sale for $19.99 on Coastal Scents' website.
Now onto the brush set on the left. This is the Royal & Langnickel Brush Set [R]evolution which was made especially for BOXYCHARM. These three brushes retail for a total of $23.97 ($7.99 each.) You get the BX-80 Detail brush which is "used for detailed eyeshadow application on eyelid," the BX-90 Crease brush "for a professional pointed crease and corner eyeshadow application," and the BX-95 Smudger brush for "a precision eyeshadow detail smudger for sharp creases and contouring."
Lastly, on the right we have the Starlooks Luxe Longwear Eye Liner Pen. "This felt tipped pen makes it impeccably easy to create flawless eye lines of any variety" and it retails for $19.00. I'm not much of an eyeliner girl, but this says I can create a flawless line, so I'll give it a go.
I'm overall really impressed with this box. I paid $17 for this box (that's the price of each box in the three month plan) and I got $108.92 worth of product. I plan on reviewing the products after I get a couple of chances to use them, so I'll let you know my thoughts later this month. I can't wait to see what February's box brings!
Happy hump day my friends!
