Now that we're into October (one of the best months of the year), it's time to look back on some of my favorite for the month of September. Music was big for me this month, but I still have some great beauty products to share with you as well!
Dark Angels Face & Body Cleanser
I talked about this product in a haul a couple of weeks ago, but I wanted to share more of my thoughts now that I've had more time to test it out. Dark Angels has helped my skin tremendously over the past couple of weeks. My skin has been less oily and I've noticed that my pores have been decreasing in number. My face feels so clean after using this, but it does leave behind a black residue, so beware of that if you're going to pick this up. It does easily wipe away with some toner and a cotton ball or when you rub moisturizer into your skin.
Enzymion Facial Moisturizer
This moisturizer has been another miracle product for my oily, acne-prone skin. It does actually make your face matte like it says, but your skin still feels hydrated. A little also goes a long way which is great when I can't be buying a new moisturizer pot every month. I've barely made a dent in this one.
Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask
This is probably Adam's favorite product of the month because I look like a monster when I use this mask, but it's just so cool. This mask bubbles up on your face and helps to deep clean your pores. At least that's what it does for me. The tub is all in Korean, so it's impossible to know what this mask is actually supposed to do. It comes with a little spatula to apply it to your face, but I find it much easier to used my hands.
No Drought Dry Shampoo
I also mentioned this product in my haul as well. This product smells absolutely amazing. With the aerosol dry shampoos that I typically use, I notice that the scent only lasts for a few minutes or so, but I smell this all day when I use it. While it's grapefruit scent is a huge upside, this does require lots of rubbing into your hair, but it makes your hair look (almost) freshly washed and adds volume.
Glossier Flavored Balm Dotcom in Rose
This lip balm is literally the balm dotcom. Never have my lips been softer than after using this and you need the tiniest amount. I think it's very comparable to Vaseline, but it melts into your skin more than Vaseline does. The Flavored Balm Dotcom also comes in three other flavors and there's an unscented/unflavored version as well.
Glossier Stretch Concealer in Light
As I said in my Glossier review, this concealer melts into your skin and looks super natural. It's so easy to throw on when I don't want to wear a lot of makeup, but still has really great coverage. It's quickly become my everyday concealer.
Glossier Boy Brow
Also mentioned in my Glossier review, this is the best brow gel ever. I no longer have to spend time filling in my brows with a pencil, I can just throw this on and have fuller looking brows that still look super natural. I'm running out fast, so I'll have to order a backup soon.
Kylie Cosmetics Matte Lip Kit in Love Bite
You know what's really funny? This shade is actually the color of a hickey A.K.A. a love bite. Regardless, I love this color and I find that it appears much darker on me than others. This has been my go-to shade for nights out and it will continue to be a favorite for fall.
Dolce Vita Cammi Booties
As you can tell, these boots have been well worn, and I didn't even start wearing them until I came to England. I picked these up during the Nordstrom anniversary sale because I saw a photo of Gigi Hadid wearing red velvet booties. This suede pair looked super similar, so I knew I had to have them, and I absolutely love them. They're great for casual and going out looks.
Blonde by Frank Ocean
This video is only a cover, so please go check out the original version of "Ivy" from Frank Ocean's new album, Blonde. I was told by my friend Bart to listen to this album and I have been obsessed ever since. "Ivy" and "Solo" have been playing on repeat this month.
Smoke + Mirrors by Imagine Dragons
I was so happy to find a new Imagine Dragons album while searching through Apple Music. Their latest album has been a go-to for workouts since I've started to like fast paced rock/alternative to get me through my long runs. "I'm So Sorry" is definitely my favorite song on the album because it gets me really pumped before a workout.
Birds in the Trap Sing by Travis Scott
Finally we have another new album release from Travis Scott. I had seen a lot of his songs all over the iTunes chart, so I decided to check it out. It has that really chill vibe and gives me some new raps to learn. This is also the first time I've really listened to Travis Scott, so I think he's a favorite artist of the month as well.
I hope you enjoyed another round of my monthly favorites! Let me know what you loved in September in the comments!
