"Skin first, makeup second, smile always." This is what the inside of my Glossier box says to me as I open up my new products. Glossier, a makeup brand created by Into the Gloss founder Emily Weiss, is a "beauty brand inspired by real life" and has quickly become a favorite of those in the makeup community. Today, I'm here to share my thoughts on a few of their products and tell you what I think of this brand on the rise.
I purchased the Phase 2 Set for my first order from Glossier. This particular set comes with the Stretch Concealer, Boy Brow and Generation G matte lipstick. You're able to select the color for each item so that you can have a set specifically tailored to you. I personally chose the Stretch Concealer in the shade Light, Boy Brow in the shade Brown and Generation G in the shade Jam. By buying these items as a set instead of individually, I save $2, which isn't a lot, but hey, I still saved some money. I also purchased Balm Dotcom in the flavor Rose. This lip balm/skin salve is worth every single penny. After using this one time, my lips were incredibly soft and smooth. I also only have to apply this once per day instead of reapplying several times like you usually do with normal lip balms. The Flavored Balm Dotcom comes in three other flavors, and there's also an unflavored Balm Dotcom as well if you're into that.
Now for a before and after of using Glossier products:
This is my face before applying any product. I'm only wearing the Rose Balm Dotcom, but it's impossible to tell.
I started by applying the Stretch Concealer in the shade Light. What's great about this particular concealer is that it's easily applied with your fingers and melts right into the skin. It's almost like you're wearing nothing on your skin which is an amazing feeling. As much as I love makeup, I hate feeling it on my face, so this concealer is my new obsession.
Let's get up close and personal and talk about Boy Brow. Hands down, the BEST brow gel I have ever used. I used to be obsessed with Benefit's Gimme Brow, but this beats it by a mile. It makes my brows look so full and defined with little effort. I don't have to use a pencil to fill them in anymore, I just throw on Boy Brow and go.
I finished off my look with Generation G in Jam. I love the subtle purple color. It's a great way to try out fall's berry lips trend without going full on dark berry. This has quickly become my everyday look because it's so easy and relatively natural. I can do this in a total of two minutes and be on my way which I've really been into lately.
I hope you enjoyed my review of Glossier! Let me know if I should review the Phase 1 Set or the new Supers serums that just launched yesterday!
Only one more post until I'm headed to England!!
