So I obviously went to Lush. I didn't bring more than 3 oz. products with me to England, so it was necessary for me to make a stop at one of my favorite bath/body/hair product stores on my first day across the pond. This isn't so much a review, I'm just sharing the items I bought, but I can tell you that I'm loving all of them right now.
Fairly Traded Honey Shampoo: For the one time each week that I do wash my hair, I bought this shampoo specifically because honey helps hair retain moisture. Lush UK describes this shampoo as the "nectar of the locks," and they're right. The only think that I don't love is the scent, but my hair looks really nice and feels super clean after I use this.
Retread Hair Conditioner: Honestly, this feels like it's doing nothing when you put it on your hair, but the magic happens when you rinse it out. This makes my hair crazy soft because it's packed with oils and is made with other nourishing ingredients like yogurt and soya milk.
Beautiful Shower Gel: So apparently this shower gel is supposed to make you smile... it hasn't happened yet, but maybe I'll smile after using this awhile longer. The peachy scent does help wake me up in the mornings, though. All of these products have "How To" sections on the back, and this one says if you seriously don't know how to use this product, take your favorite person in the shower with you and they can show you how. Very funny, Lush.
Dark Angels Face & Body Cleanser: I have found my new holy grail face cleanser. This one in particular is quite unique because it comes as a chunky kind of powder. You have to break off pieces and add water to create a paste, and it's magical. The charcoal really helps completely clean my face and remove any oil, leftover makeup, etc. This does leave a little bit of a black residue behind, but it comes off easily with some toner and a cotton pad.
Tea Tree Water Toner Water: If you've been reading my blog for awhile, you'll recognize this product. Of course I had to pick up a fresh bottle of my favorite toner for my time in England. I still love it just as much as I did when I first bought it.
Enzymion Facial Moisturizer: First of all, I hate the way they spell moisturizer on the tub. Second of all, this is a great moisturizer for oily skin. It hydrates but doesn't leave my skin looking greasy. My face remains pretty matte throughout the day, so this is my new skin BFF.
Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub: Another favorite product that I had to pick up. This is hands down the best face and body scrub ever. Plus it smells like a margarita since it contains vodka. I do not recommend using this when you have a hangover, though, or you might be seeing last night's vodka.
No Drought Dry Shampoo: This is basically grapefruit scented baby powder. While your regular baby powder can do the exact same thing, this leaves behind the fresh and pleasant scent . You just puff a little bit into your hair, massage in and bam! No one can even tell that you're on day six hair. Side note: this does completely blend into my hair in case you dark-haired girls are wondering.
Sunny Day Anti Static Hair Detangler: My hair can go from soft and smooth to a tangled rats' nest with barely a breeze. This is like the stuff my mom used on my hair as a kid, but with a nice violet scent instead of an overly fruity one. This and my Wet Brush are my best tools to fight my crazy hair.
Maypole Soap: (Not pictured) I, surprisingly, love this peppermint-scented soap. It also contains Canadian maple syrup to keep skin soft and smooth, eh?
I hope you enjoyed my little haul! I'll see you on Tuesday for another installment of Red Carpet Rankings and maybe some outfit posts throughout the week.
