Here I am again with yet another Coachella-styled outfit. Festival season is one of my favorites because there's inspiration everywhere. So don't hate me, but here's another take on festival style:
So I bought this skirt like five or six months ago and I finally wore it yesterday. I think now is the perfect time to wear it because it gives off that festival vibe, plus fringe and suede are really on-trend right now. What I love most about this piece is the asymmetrical hem and the color. That wine/burgundy/maroon/wonderful color is my favorite... well actually second because black is obviously No. 1. I kept all my focus on the skirt by pairing it with a simple black crop top.
While most people think that sandals are the biggest footwear trend from Coachella, booties actually were the most popular this year. They're way more sensible for walking around in and give more support than flimsy sandals. I went with a pair of faux suede ankle boots, similar here, to test out this trend, but I was also thinking of wear gladiator sandals with this look. You could really go either way here.
Head scarfs are the new flower crowns. I didn't own a scarf to tie around my head, so I chose to go with a black head wrap to try and mimic that style. A lot of celebrities were also seen sporting bandanas, so that would also be a good accessory to test out. For my necklace, I just wore a simple gold and black pendant.
I'm going to try and move away from the Coachella theme that's going on here right now, but no promises. Have a mean muggin' Wednesday.
